and kitchen area. This self-catered accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen, sleeps two and

The swimming pool is a stone’s throw from your cottage and offers the perfect way to relax
and cool down in summer!

Cottage 2
This 2-bedroom cottage offers stunning views from both bedrooms that can be enjoyed even from the comfort of your bed!
The main bedroom has a double bed with and an en-suite bathroom and the second has twin
beds with an additional bathroom at your convenience.
Visitors are welcome to make use of the sleeper couch in the living room that offers additional
sleeping for 2 guests.
Both bedrooms and living area open straight onto a traditional South African “ stoep”
(veranda/porch), boasting a built-in “braai” (barbeque) and an under-cover
dining area. This offers absolutely the best al-fresco dining with stunning views, fresh air and
beautiful sounds of nature!

VERLORENRIVIER is a traditional family farm dating back to the 16th century and both the farm and cottages are nestled in the heart of the spectacularly beautiful and world renowned Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area.
Situated at GPS S 33o 31′ 23.5″ / E23o 50′ 45.0″ , VERLORENRIVIER is easily accessible with a sedan vehicle from Willowmore – route R332 – 60 km from the farm. Patensie is a 148km drive from VERLORENRIVIER and the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve can be accessed with high clearance vehicles where a R51 entrance fee is applicable at the gate of the Reserve.
In order to preserve the ambiance and wildlife, dogs are not allowed in the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve and to enable a safe and trouble-free journey, only high clearance vehicles will be admitted to the Reserve.
As can be expected, cell-phone (mobile) signal is not available in this remote and untouched area of outstanding natural beauty but we are pleased to say that free Wifi is available in the cottages which allows for use of social media that enable free calls if you make use of any of the various applications such as Whatsapp, Facebook or many others.
